Description of Position

Cross-Departmental Project Management:

  • Act as a project lead across various departments to execute tech and marketing projects that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with department heads to define project requirements, goals, and expected outcomes.
  • Translate strategic objectives into well-defined projects with milestones, deliverables, and clear timelines.

Matrix Accountability and Resource Allocation:

  • Operate in a matrix environment, coordinating and prioritizing resources across departments to ensure that high-priority projects are effectively supported
  • Assign roles and tasks to team members or specialists (developers, designers, copywriters) and clearly communicate project scope and priorities.
  • Ensure projects have the necessary resources, whether internal or through external contractors, and manage the onboarding of these resources as needed.

Project Breakdown and Sprint Management:

  • Define project sprints, deliverables, and successful outcomes, breaking down larger initiatives into manageable sub-projects and tasks.
  • Set clear success metrics and accountability for each project phase, ensuring team members understand their role, deliverables, and due dates.
  • Monitor progress on scorecard metrics and Rocks, ensuring alignment with both departmental and company-wide goals.

Barrier Removal and Problem Solving:

  • Serve as the go-to resource for clearing obstacles, ensuring project momentum, and quickly addressing any resource or skill gaps.
  • Identify when additional expertise is required and bring in external contractors, trainers, or other resources to support project completion.
  • Support team members by providing access to tools, technology, or guidance to keep projects on track.

Focus and Prioritization:

  • Enforce a disciplined focus on strategic projects, preventing distraction from lower-priority tasks that do not align with company objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate and validate project relevance, ensuring that only impactful initiatives receive resources and attention.
  • Communicate the strategic “why” behind each project to foster understanding and alignment within the team.

Continuous Improvement and Cross-Departmental Efficiency:

  • Analyze completed projects to capture learnings and improve processes, workflows, and communication channels for future projects.
  • Develop standardized project management templates, sprint plans, and accountability tools to streamline cross-departmental work.
  • ​Maintain strong communication with department leaders to ensure seamless project transitions and shared ownership of results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management, program management, or operations management within a marketing or similar environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex, cross-departmental projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, EOS, or similar frameworks for managing strategic projects and Rocks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to remove obstacles and keep teams on track.
  • College Level education in Management, Strategy, Marketing, and/or Advertising
  • Contextual Understanding Digital Marketing, Advertising, Technology, and Software Development

The Marketing Operations Manager position is a full time W-2 employment opportunity.  

**The Marketing Operations Manager position's pay start with a reduced annual rate in the first 90 days of training. During the 90 day period, the new hiree will under review to see if he/she can perform all required duties in satisfactory manner. Within the 90 day period, the new hiree may be dismissed if the work performance and quality does not meet the company's standards. Upon completion of the 90 day review and training period, the new hiree's pay will increase to the typical normal pay rate of $80k - $90k.
